Dental Assistant Duties Include:
Assisting Doctor during a variety of treatment procedures (crown, bridge, endodontic, extraction, implant, etc.)
Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and tray set ups
Taking Digital X-Rays
Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment
Communicating directly with patient about medical history
Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or treatment
Turning on and utilizing operatory computers
Performing office management tasks which may require navigating Dentrix software
Taking proper alginate impressions and pouring models
Assisting in recording periodontal probing depths for hygienists
Reviewing dental supplies and recording inventory
Communicating with dental suppliers (ordering supplies, inventory requests, etc.)
Housekeeping and assisting with other duties as needed
Working alongside a talented, knowledgeable dental team of professionals
