Job Description: Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, must be able to speak Spanish, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staffs
Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable.
Understanding of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Able to speak and understand Spanish.
