Meet our instructors
Toni Vasquez
RDA, Instructor
I’ve been in the dental field for 40 years. 16 years in the dental office and 24 years teaching dental assisting. I enjoy helping my students achieve their goals when they come into my classroom.
It is amazing to pass down knowledge to my students and assist them with their career goals. I enjoy teaching, and I’ve discovered. my passion overthat teaching is.
Sanda Popescu
Instructor
I am a registered dental assistant with over 24 years of experience. I emigrated from Romania in 1990.
I started working in dentistry in 1991. In 1993, I passed the State Board Exam and became a registered dental assistant. As a clinical DA and RDA, I have worked as a chairside assistant in general dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics and periodontics/ implant surgery.
In the front office I have worked as a patient care coordinator/treatment planning coordinator, and office manager.
From March 2009, I have worked as a Dental Assistant Instructor for Corinthian Colleges/Everest College in Anaheim. I was involved in training students in all aspects of clinical and laboratory procedures, making sure that all students will acquire the necessary skills required for employment as a dental assistant or dental receptionist.
Lisa Whitehead
Instructor
I have been in the dental field for 25 years and have been an instructor for over 13 years.
I have had the pleasure of teaching at Everest College, InterCoast College, Northwest and UEI college. I currently assist Dr. Richard Kunihira with special needs patients in a hospital setting. I enjoy helping others and love to see my students succeed in the dental field.
My mission is to teach patients to floss the teeth they want to keep. I look forward to my new adventure with Fullerton Dental Assistant School and helping many more students in the dental field.
Lupe Perez
RDA, Instructor Assistant
I have devoted 25 years of my life to my work in the dental field, with 8 of those years as a dental assistant and the additional 17 of those years perfecting my role as a treatment coordinator.
In the course of my profession, I have earned my RDA and now currently work for Dr. Eric Meyer’s dental office and Fullerton Dental School. I live by one of Michelle Obama’s iconic quotes “Success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.”
Claudia Briseño
RDA, Instructor Assistant
My name is Claudia Briseño. I have been in the dental field for over 12 years and currently work for the dental office of Dr. Eric Meyer as a Hygiene Coordinator and at Fullerton Dental Assistant School as an Instructor Assistant.
After working several years in the dental field, I decided to attend Fullerton Dental Assistant School to obtain my RDA. I was offered the opportunity to join the Fullerton Dental Assistant School team after I graduated from the program and began working as an Instructor Assistant.
Working with our amazing students is a very rewarding experience, and I am truly fortunate to be a part of their journey as they begin their careers in the dental field.
Genevieve Perez
RDA
My name is Genevieve Perez, RDA. I have been in the dental field since 2010 and have been teaching dental assisting since 2018. I am currently getting my bachelors degree in psychology at Concordia University of Irvine. I’m hoping to take my education and work with the Dental Board of California someday.
I previously taught at UEI college where I was given the opportunity to establish my teaching career. I hope to create a positive and educational environment where students can feel free to learn, here at Fullerton Dental Assisting School. Dentistry and teaching have become a passion of mine. When you love what you do, your job isn’t a job at all.
