We are looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our office family! We pride ourselves on our office culture and treating patients and other staff members as family. The ideal candidate will have a friendly disposition, and will make our patients feel welcomed and comfortable.

*****CANDIDATES MUST KNOW HOW TO MAKE CROWN AND BRIDGE TEMPORARIES!

MUST SPEAK SPANISH.

Experience with intra-oral scanning is a plus!

Responsibilities

Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy.
Operate medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners when necessary for advanced diagnostics.
Collaborate with the team to ensure infection control standards are maintained and that all clinical areas are clean and organized.
Assist front office in making follow-up appointments when needed
Keep track of supplies and provide the supply order list at the end of each month
Qualifications

Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and supporting pediatric dentistry procedures.
Knowledge of medical documentation, medical coding, and handling medical records securely in compliance with HIPAA.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
Certification or training in dental assisting preferred; ongoing professional development encouraged to stay current with industry standards. Pay: $23.00 – $24.00 per hour
