Objective: The students will demonstrate the proper techniques for placing and removing surface barriers.

Competency: The student will set up armamentarium and Students will be taught the proper techniques for placing and removing surface barriers. The use of all OSHA and PPE procedures will be practices without error.

Practice Required: 3

Washed and dried hands.

Assembled the appropriate setup

Select the appropriate surface barriers and placed each barrier over the entire surface to be protected.

Wore utility gloves to remove contaminated surface barriers.

Very careful removed each cover.

Discarded the used covers into the regular waste receptacle.

Washed, disinfected, and removed utility gloves.

Washed and dried hands.

Final Infection.

Minimum passing score = 36 points

If step is missed or minimum competency is not met, the evaluated procedure fails and must be repeated.

3. Proficient skill level – Able to perform skill with minimal guidance.
4. Advanced skill level – Able to perform skill with no guidance.
